Tough Bunnies

Tough Bunnies is a project from me, Michael Hayashida. Before I was a high school teacher, before I went to seminary and dropped out of it, before I was a telecom engineer, before all that, I was a kid in the pews, sometimes bored, sometimes listening, sometimes glimpsing the staggering wonder of it all.

The last bit there has stayed with me. I've found music to be one of the best ways to bear witness to it.

I grew up playing the viola (thank you, public school orchestras!). I learned how to play the guitar after college - a huge life transformation. I'm in a band (hello, Bold Riley bandmates!). I live in Maine with my wife and two daughters where I teach high school math. One of my daughters coined the phrase "Tough Bunnies". The other is a vocal major - she comes in handy :).
